Billing is not only a talented writer, he also composed the music for this book. At the start of each chapter, the main character has their own theme music, which helped bring the story to life by heightening the tension and emotion in every scene. I've never read a book with it's own soundtrack, also written by the author, and I absolutely love the idea and experience.

The citizens of Pietalos are fed up with their corrupt government and have decided to fight back. I enjoyed the fast pacing, strong female characters, and the fantasy elements toward the end were an intriguing and unexpected twist.

There is graphic violence and strong language, so be mindful if those elements are a concern. This is an action packed read that blends political rebellion with a touch of fantasy, strong female characters, and a great soundtrack to go with it.
