Narrated by Safiyaa Ingar

This is a Count of Monte Cristo retelling set in Pakistan with a female MC. The betrayal, patience, endurance and ultimate revenge made the original book an absolute masterpiece and classic. This reimagining is full of female rage, and the narrator did a wonderful job. I loved the emotion in her performance when voicing all of the characters. Ingar was the perfect choice to narrate this book.
This version has a daring and dangerous prison break, a hunt for hidden treasure, djinn magic, secret identities and a woman who can, not only stand up for herself, but sword fight better than most men. Not a woman to be betrayed. I found myself doing a lot more cleaning around the house just to have an excuse to keep listening to the audiobook.
